Performs quality inspection on parts, components and product that is received, in-process, and finished per customer, company, and regulatory requirements. Assists with the design, development and implementation of inspection methods, plans, and testing equipment. Create and edit CMM programs. Will run CMM’s in production environment.
The Quality Engineer will perform analysis, identify trends, and implement improvements in Chandler’s operations. Identify and eliminate supplier and manufacturing defects, non-conformities, problems or other issues affecting the quality or reliability of Chandler products. Will also develop testing methods for use in analysis of company products and statistical techniques for analysis of test data.
This position will be responsible for providing customer service, shipping & receiving and general administrative support to the Lindstrom division.
Responsible for creating, documenting, and implementing machining and manufacturing processes, 5-Axis CNC contour and complex surfacing programs, for new product introduction and revision changes on current products using customer designs from acceptance of quote through final production in accordance with Chandler’s quality management system. Lead customer focused projects and continuous improvement projects using sound project management principles and methodologies. Utilize Lean and Six-Sigma principles to improve manufacturing quality and productivity in machining, fabrication, special processes, and assembly.
Ensures that routers/BOMs are complete and accurate.
Develops 3, 4 and 5 Axis CNC programs for machining.
Develops work instructions and standardized work for manufacturing processes. Champions sound engineering disciplines throughout process development and component lifecycles to included, but not limited to: FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, Process Validation, Process Characterization, SPC studies, etc.
