Our customers have a common perspective on doing business with us. They expect Chandler to continuously provide them with on time delivery of quality parts, sub assemblies, and assemblies to exacting specifications. They expect that Chandler will continue to invest in the technology, processes and people that will make Continuous Quality Improvement a reality. They expect that Chandler will proactively determine what’s necessary in the future to meet their needs in product, delivery, and cost --all with the right quality.
Are these expectations reasonable? Chandler Industries as an organization has said yes for years. That’s why the effort and investment was made way back in 1996 to gain our first ISO certification and why we upgraded this certification to ISO 9001/2000 six years ago. That is why we have installed the processes and systems that continue to drive us towards TS16949 certification. That is why we have implemented SPC in all of our production cells with our factory wide wireless network and are now able to e-mail statistical production data to our customers on a real time basis. That is why we have implemented Six Sigma tools training throughout our organization and have allocated significant resources to Lean Manufacturing Events since 2005. Finally, that is why we are on a “Dock to Stock” program with all of our major customers.
But, most of all, it represents a total commitment by our organization to understand what quality truly means, figure out the ways to ensure its always present, and to determine the ways to measure it’s growth. We get it. We use it. And we intend to keep making it better. We believe that Continuous Quality Improvement is necessary to sustain mutually rewarding business relationships with our customers on a long term basis.
