Process Controls

In the planning phase of a program, Chandler works in tandem with our customers to perform the following analysis:
• Feasibility Review
• Design for Manufacturability Review
• Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
• Advanced  Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Process control plans

Once the production phase begins, our Engineers work with the customer from initial sample submissions, first production samples, through ongoing production runs. During these stages, we utilize the following process controls to assure that our precision machined products meet our customers’ stringent specifications:
• Product Validation
• Process Validation
• Capability Analysis
• Gage Reliability and Repeatability studies
• Gage Calibration program utilizing dedicated gage program software
• Run-at-Rate studies
• Product specific control, inspection instructions, and operator instructions
• Visual Management

All part inspections and SPC data entries are performed by our certified machine operators to allow for the quickest possible reaction time to keep the processes in statistical control.

As part of an ongoing program, our Quality Department continues to monitor our systems and processes and work closely with the customer to suggest possible improvements and/or cost reductions. The continuous improvement program extends throughout the supply chain, from raw material, through production, to finished product and ultimately to the customer.
