Automation

To deal with the increasing demands and sophistication of our industry, Chandler has consistently invested in assets that will keep it on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to our CNC machining services. An integral part of our manufacturing is our robotic work cells, one of which depends on Helen, a fully automated Fanuc 2000iA robot with vision. Our robotics are just one example of how the combination of automation with our ever improving processes can increase efficiency for machining customer parts.

Another is our fully automated machining and materials handling systems, where one operator can control as many as five machines for up to 23 hours a day, seven days a week. Using "lights out" production when permitted by the process, we engage robots and CNC machining equipment with automated parts measurement and tool replacement. Automation at Chandler is used in many machining applications including bar stock and castings – CNC turning or milling. Processes are fully controlled with our online SPC System where parts are automatically set aside for inspection per statistical sampling requirements.
